WHAT IS C.E.J? C.E.J stands for Coalition for Educational Justice. C.E.J fights for the rights of our school. We are a cooperative group trying to help our school in the ways we can. Our first job is bringing better nutrition to our school.
WHAT WE DO Every month we have a meeting. Usually we break up into groups. We get posters, brain storm, and write it down. Kids run the groups!
Marching For Our Rights Sometimes we have marches. We carry posters around and march for students’ rights, teachers’ rights,and schools’ rights.
Who Is In Our Group? Our group is made up of students, parents and teachers. We speak English and Spanish The students and parents are greatly involved.
Our Meetings Every meeting there is co-chairs. They help run the meeting that day.There is a student leader and an adult helping him/her run the meeting. We introduce ourselves. After that, we brainstorm and write down our ideas on posters People take assignments to complete before the next meeting.
