The 52 nd Annual London International Youth Science Forum
33° 52' S 151° 12' E On the 24 th of July, eight delegates, selected by the National Youth Science Summer School to represent Australia, departed Sydney on route to Heathrow airport.

The best parts… Meeting like minded people from all over the world Forming an international network Fundraising experience- selling myself to sponsors The exposure to current high level science, and an international perspective on current issues Cultural immersion The independence-> taste of life beyond high school
Worth it? A lot of catch-up work A great part of my VCE coursework was self taught Time-zones, always someone awake to talk to Before, we were told that we would be likely to lose some 1-2 marks on our final scores as a result of our attendance… but that this experience far outweighed the worth of those few marks.
