2 They collect, identify, classify, and analyze evidence in a criminal investigation. They perform test on substances (such as fiber, hair, and tissue) to determine the importance in an investigation. They also prepare reports and document their findings. They can work in a particular area, such as fingerprinting, handwriting, biochemistry.

3 The basic requirement needed in this field is a bachelors degree with extensive coursework in chemistry and biology, or just a bachelors degree in natural science. According to the American Academy of forensic science (AAFS) the most important thing to them is to choose a major that provides extensive coursework in math and a minimum of 24 academics units of biology and chemistry. You need to take extensive math and science coursework, classes in criminal justice, criminal law, forensic archaeology, and public speaking would be very useful. Forensic science technicians should often take continuing education course throughout their career.

The more education and the more experience you have, the high salary you have as well, ones with less education and experience less your salary will be. Certifications would also increase your salary. To get paid a higher amount work with the federal, local or state government as a forensic science technicians.

7 I learned that you need to have achieved high amounts of math and science. That there as so many different types of science technicians, that forensic science technicians are just one out of many. You need a really good education many, many years of college, the more education you have the higher your salary shall be.
