3. Forms of Energy Energy that moves an object. Ex. Mechanical Sound
Energy of vibrating particles in a solid, liquid, or gas. Sound needs a medium to travel through, cannot travel through a vacuum like space.

The total amount of energy from the movement of particles in matter. Heat from friction. Ex.
Energy from the chemical composition of matter. The energy that is in the bonds that holds atoms together in a molecule. Ex.

5. Forms of Energy Electromagnetic Nuclear
Energy transmitted through space in the form of electromagnetic waves. Radio, microwave, infrared, visible light, ultraviolet, x-ray and gamma. Ex.
Energy from the nucleus of an atom.
