Why develop programmes at Higher Performing Schools? [11-18 school] * Average of 232 students in each year cohort * V good uptake - AS/A level-onto Higher Education * First in LA at KS3 entry, end of KS3 and KS4 * Year on year 85 –90% @ 5+ A* - C GCSE

*Sector Skills- ‘Skills Gaps’ –Construction, Engineering, Health and Care – opportunities for students *More appropriate to offer different pathways from end of KS3 onwards than wait for post 16 opportunity *Some of 5+ A*-C have different aspirations and change direction post 16 *10-15% of 232 is 23-35 students each year, higher ability to learning difficulties BUT School has broadened[not weakened curriculum]
