6 Policies EMP1.1 Business incubation centre similar to Harlow Enterprise Hub, including parking facility to encourage small ‘start-ups’. Aesthetic of the building in the form of No.1 Dane Street or Tee’s Basbow Lane office. EMP1.2 Retail offering with appropriate mix of A1 to A5 ensuring community centred activity and support on a smaller scale (e.g. Snowley Parade). 7 Policies continued EMP1.4 Commercial office facility in A2 or B1 form allowing for the operation of commercial business operations without an industrial section ensuring limited traffic implications and local resident involvement potential. Preferred businesses would be ‘high-tech’ with top speed data connections, in keeping with the location of Bishop’s Stortford. The aesthetic of the buildings would take the form of either No. 1 Dane Street or Tee’s Basbow Lane office. EMP1.5 Existing facilities considering enhancement are to be encouraged to develop facilities with previous policies in mind.
