What happened to KeyRing’s Newcastle Community Living Co-operative Thursday 25th February, Northern Stage, Newcastle upon Tyne 12.00 – 2.45pm, including lunch Hello Do you you want to come along to hear about what happened when KeyRing set up a Community Living Co-operative in Newcastle? The Co-operative supported 12 people with learning disabilities to live in the East End of Newcastle.
The Co – operative was about giving people more choice and control over their lives this included people running the Co- operative. The project had to close due to funding problems But we learnt lots of useful things from the running the project that we would like to share with you. Paul Murphy from Skills for People will be running a workshop at the event If you would like to come along please contact Gemma Appleby at Northern Rock Foundation to say you want to come. Email Gemma at gemma.appleby@nr- foundation.org.uk gemma.appleby@nr- foundation.org.uk Or call Gemma on 0191 284 8412.
Northern Stage is a really good building for access Please get in touch with Gemma if there is anything that we can do to make your day more comfortable like if you have a special diet. I hope that you will be able to come along. Yours sincerely, Louise Telford, Northern Rock Foundation.
