4 Police and Crime Commissioner – Youth Charter Consultation Survey Support Youth Councillors JESS SENIOR AND STEPH HUGHES BY: Completing the a short consultation on the development of a Youth Charter for the soon to be elected Police and Crime Commissioners to sign up to (All completed entries from young people will be entered into a draw to win £50 worth of Amazon vouchers. 10 Join BYC for Debates at Conservative, Labour and Liberal Democrat Party Conferences These debates will provide exciting opportunities for young people to engage with politicians and question them about their policies The debates taking plac e Sunday 23 Sept, 5-8pm: Liberal Democrats, Brighton Sunday 30 Sept, 5-8pm: Labour, Manchester Sunday 7 Oct, 5-8pm: Conservative, Birmingham These events are free to attend, public events. Refreshments will be provided at the reception before the debate. The reception will provide opportunities for networking and meeting politicians and other young people. 11 Are You a Budding Filmmaker or Designer? Win Houses of Parliament visits and more in the Political Studies Association’s student poster and video competition The Political Studies Association is looking for students to submit short films with the title ‘ What is the media doing to our politics’? and posters illustrating the issue of ‘Why society needs politics’. The winning entries will receive trips to London and a tour of the Houses of Parliament, with the video competition winner picking up their prize at the PSA’s annual awards dinner, broadcast on BBC Parliament.
