Working place: primary health care centre in Maadi Hobbies : reading and E-learning. expectations: to be more competent in electronic medical field by the end of the course.

Scope of services provided in PHC unit 3 clinics including a family planning clinic providing health care services and family planning services (loops, OCP, etc--) -the other 2 clinic for provision of a primary health care services (gynecological and obstetric, internal medicine, pediatric services) -Clinic for vaccination applying the vaccination schedule for children. -Dentistry clinic providing all dental care services. -Pharmacy for free supplying patients by medicine. -A laboratory room for any simple tests -An ER. _And there is also a room (family club) for some social activities.

3. The work force Doctors  Physicians are about 11.  Dentists are 7.  Pharmacists are 2. Nursing staff are about 11. Administrative and social workers are 12. One guard. One laborer.

4. Problems and expectation High patient flow Lack of discipline in the place Absence of accurate communication between the reception office and clinics. Complete absence of awareness about the importance of medical records.

5. How could be IT of benefit in PHC ? establishing a small system connecting important parts of the PHC unit coordinating the simple care given as: Reception office: It will over come the problem of high flow and consequently the lack of discipline The medical record room (archive) The pharmacy, for all medication handling issues. The lab Each clinic (especially the family planning one)
