Select Your Topic 1.You may choose to speak on anything discussed in any of the 16 Chapters discussed throughout the course. 2.You may speak from a Generalist perspective or a Specialist perspective. 3.You must post your selected topic to our Class Discussion Blog no later than Wednesday, April 30, 2014 by 6pm.
Select Your Method of Delivery 1.You may use Powerpoint but it is not required. 2.You may use printed handouts for the class to ‘follow along’ or the whiteboard and/or easel pad. 3.You may use the Internet or any other technology as resources. 4.You must use Professional knowledge vs. general knowledge.
Tips and Timeline Your presentation should be approximately 15 minutes long. You should make the ‘goal’ of your presentation very clear to the audience (what are we here to learn or be informed of and why?) Speak slowly, articulate well, and check for understanding. There is no right or wrong. This is your presentation and you decide what you want to share and discuss. We are not judging…we are learning!
Goals To share with us an important take-away or learned strategy that you have gained from taking this class. To ‘show off’ your professional knowledge. To demonstrate your use of resources and references. To feel confident in your abilities to speak as an HR professional.
