To ask someone where they are going. ◦ ¿Tú vas a la biblioteca cada día? Do you go to the library every day? ** NOTE** Feminine a+ la = a la Masculine a + el = al
To say where you are going. ◦ Voy a la cafetería. I am going to the cafeteria ◦ Hoy vamos al gimnasio. Today we are going to the gym. Ir + a + place Ir + a + place
To express future plans. ◦ ¿Qué vas a hacer el Sábado? What are you going to do on Saturday? ◦ Voy a bailar con mis amigos. I am going to dance with my friends.
To ask where someone is going or what somebody is going to do, add a before the infinitive. Ir + a + infinitive Ir + a + infinitive Note that when you list a number of activities, you need the a before each infinitive verb. Voy al parque a caminar y a descansar. I am going to the park to walk and to rest.
