Adelie Penguin By Gracie, Cody, Hannah
Adelie penguins are the most common penguins. They have sharp and pointy feathers.
They have white rings around each eye, white stomachs and black backs. Adelie penguins are 11 inches tall. They weigh 8 or 9 pounds. The top of their head is called a crown.
No penguin breeds further south then the Adelie penguin. Colonies very in size and can have 400 or 40,000 penguins. Penguins like to live together.
A baby penguin is called a chick. It takes at least two months to hatch. They keep their babies warm in a pouch.
They take turns in the middle of the huddle to keep warm. They still walk when there is a blizzard outside.
