Advent week at school Traditions
Paskutinė metų savaitė mokykloje The eldest class decorates the school; The last week before Christmas is special. There are different events and exibitions of students’ works during this week. Students make Christmas decorations such as Christmas trees and Christmas toys. When the last day of the week comes, students change presents with each other. When the lessons end, students gather together and drink tea with home-made biscuits.
The exhibition of Christmas trees “Different Christmas tree”
The exhibition of works made by our young ceramicists. Our school has a pottery centre, where students are able to develop their creative abilities.
Students take part in different projects and in summer they also organise camps of creation.
In a tuck fair girls were giving Christmas cookies to all the children of the school.
Our young foresters gave fir branches which were brought from the forest. Our town foresters helped them to do this job.
The afternoon of the Advent is organised after the lessons end. All the classes take part in the event. They act, show old magic, tell stories and sing songs.
In the end everyone goes back to their classrooms and continue to celebrate there with friends. At school the music is playing, all the students read their Christmas cards and wish Merry Christmas to everyone.
