McClellan Ambrose Burnside * Commander of the Union Army at the beginning of the war * Had General Lee on the run but did not chase him down * Was relieved of command by Lincoln * Ran against Lincoln in 1864 but was defeated * Union general who was defeated at Fredericksburg * His style of facial hair is where we get the term sideburns
