3 3 2011 Accomplishments (1) Strong support for and participation from 29 Societies, Council and Committees (see slide 3) Created Life Sciences Steering Committee Created Life Sciences Project Team (35 members) Created five Life Sciences Sub-teams Launched the Life Sciences Web Portal on June 22, 2011 (http://lifesciences.ieee.org) and refreshed Portal content on a regular basishttp://lifesciences.ieee.org Organized and planned for the first IEEE Life Sciences Grand Challenges Conference, Oct 4-5, 2012, National Academy of Science, Washington DC Started evaluating organizational structures for post-NIC operations, e.g., Multi-Society Technical Group
