8  Don’t get discouraged – focus on the big picture  Remember how far we have come – we can achieve great things together  But, people with disabilities stand to lose a lot if we are not vigilant  Work together at the local, state, and national levels – shared goals  Disability Policy Seminar – April 7-9, /4/20138

9  and social media are not enough!  Meet with Congressional delegations and staff at home  Attend events - get to know them – let them get to know you  Keep them up to date on your issues  As they rise in Leadership or move on to other policy positions, stay in touch  Mentor young colleagues 6/4/20139
