2 Aurora of Central New York AURORA of Central New York Inc. is a not-for-profit 501©(3) community based organization with a mission to serve individuals of all ages who are blind, visually impaired, deaf, hard of hearing, late-deafened and deafblind throughout Central New York. The organization has existed for over 90 years and provides vision and hearing rehabilitation and support services to improve the self-sufficiency, community access and quality of life for people with vision and hearing loss. Services include rehabilitation teaching, orientation and mobility, adaptive technology training, social work, outreach and community education, employment readiness training, job placement, support groups, Interpreter Referral Service, American Sign Language (ASL) instruction and a Used Hearing Aid Program. The primary area of service is Onondaga, Cayuga, and Oswego Counties with Interpreter Referral Services provided throughout a 14 upstate county area.

20 Additional Outcomes  The CTM-3 will average 75% by Dec 2010 (baseline = 74.25%)  Patient satisfaction scores for treatment of vision or hearing loss will average 3 out of 4 by Dec 2010.  The number of referrals to Aurora from Crouse Hospital will increase by to 25 patients by Dec 2010.
