Psychological Disorders 2 Abnormal Behavior Abnormal behavior is anything “not normal” and can be both good and bad. With psychological issues it has these symptoms: – Interferes with daily functions (dysfunctional) – Distress – Deviance from the social norm

Psychological Disorders 4 Major Causes of Disorders Delirium, dementia, and amnestic disorders Psychotic disorders (such as schizophrenia) Mood disorders Anxiety disorders Personality disorders
Psychological Disorders 6 Summary Treatments vary and could be incorporated into toys for certain disorders Few disorders effect children (most start at adolescence or early childhood) so applications could be limited Many types of disorders exist in many categories
