19 BEST 2014 Use of PT Info channels: Preliminary summary BEST Special topic Preliminary reportPage 19 Hypothesis 1: New channels reduce the use of existing: Use of printed info is decreasing – but overall usage is going up New channels seems to come in addition to existing ones, not replacing them Hypothesis 2: Elderly use apps & mobile phones less the younger people: Yes, they do. And the increase in usage of mobile internet / SMS is not significant (even though the 2013 survey is conducted by web) Hypothesis 3: Have people 80 + learned how to use internet to find info? Well, in the web panel survey it seems so. But web panel participants aged 80 + might be quite different from others
