3 TI-Navigator is a wireless classroom network that enhances communication between the teacher’s classroom computer and TI graphing handhelds (TI-73, TI-83+, TI-84) used by students. TI-Navigator

4 Components available for free: Learning Check App Learning Check Creator Included in Navigator Purchase Quick Poll Activity Center Class Analysis

5 Learning Check Make your own electronic assessments students can take on their handhelds Use assessments written by Textbook Publishers Without Navigator you can connect students’ handhelds to your computer with a graph link cable

6 Activity Center We can contribute points, lines and/or equations With the 73 we can interact with a number line or figures Today we’re going to explore adding integers with a number line

7 Allows you to wirelessly “collect” the assessment from the student’s handhelds Instantly assesses the quiz (multiple choice and extended response) Allows for anonymous feedback and discussion Class Analysis

8 Important Keys to Know Before We Begin “Soft Keys” When there is a choice on the screen select it by pressing the key that is most underneath it From this screen if you want to QUIT you would press  This Information is on Your Handout

11 Entering Text To access the text editor press  and use the arrow keys and  to type. Once you finish highlight Done and press 
