2 NCSSM Residential Student Enrollment Students enrolled at NCSSM from all of NC’s 13 Congressional Districts 93 of NC’s 110 counties represented on campus this year Residential Enrollment (Grades 11-12): = 680 students = 1267 applicants for th grade spaces North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics

3 Class Enrollment Formula Mandate # of Bed Spaces Divided by the # of CD’s in the state 350 (available bed spaces) ÷ 13 (CD’s) = 27 approximately 27 Applicants Per CD ~and~ Flexibility Allowance ± 2.5% of 350 = 8 Per CD = 35 Maximum in a district 27 – 8 = 19 Minimum in a district North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics
