1 MENA Regional Office & Center for Leadership Excellence Youth Leadership Programs About the Institute of International Education  Celebrating 90 years of Opening Minds to the World  A world leader in the exchange of people and ideas  Administers scholarship, exchange, and leadership programs worldwide  Provides service to 20,000 individuals in over 175 countries annually  Operates through a network of 27 offices globally – including four regional international offices in Cairo, Budapest, Bangkok, Mexico City IIE Vision Statement: Peace and prosperity around the world depend on increasing the capacity of people to think and work on a global and intercultural basis. As technology opens borders, educational and professional exchange opens minds.

2 MENA Regional Office & Center for Leadership Excellence Youth Leadership Programs About IIE Youth Leadership Programs Through the IIE Center for Leadership Excellence in Cairo, our youth leadership programs have impacted over 500 youth in universities and secondary school institutions Program Aims:  Create opportunities for students and educators to realize their own potential and help develop the potential in others  Develop the capacity of future generations to think, work, and solve problems on a global, intercultural basis  Build the capacity of schools and universities to offer leadership development programs to their students  Help schools and universities mainstream leadership principles at every academic level and throughout the curriculum

A ripple effect works because everyone influences everyone else. Powerful people are powerful influences. If your life works, you influence your family, If your family works, your family influences the community. If your community works, your community influences the nation. If your nation works, your nation influences the world. If your world works, the ripple effect spreads throughout the cosmos. Remember that your influence begins with you and ripples outward.
