Innovation... The un8ty Platform un8ty harnesses the power of telethons with 21 st Century technology uniting celebrities and crowds to more efficiently and transparently provide financial aid for all social causes. While there are a multitude of fundraising sources and methods, there has yet to be one as consistently successful as the iconic telethon. However, this proven method is not economically viable for all social causes and does not fully harness the immense opportunity provided in the new digital world. un8ty utilizes the telethon concept, couples it with crowdfunding, and integrates it with the latest and best video conferencing and social media tools, creating an unparalleled fundraising experience. The genius behind un8ty is the power of crowdfunding coupled with celebrity star power. The Power of Crowdfunding and Celebrities We are living in a society where people share their thoughts and interests with a click of a button. One person now can have a reach of millions. That is what crowdfunding is all about, reaching others to support a cause or idea from all across the world. In 2011, 1.1 million successful crowdfunding campaigns raised over $1.5 billion. People are continually fascinated with celebrities, and now that we are in a digital age it has never been easier for the public to feel connected to them. Social media giants such as Facebook and Twitter have made it easy for celebrities to reach millions of fans and give them the feeling of a personal connection. When the energy of crowdfunding is coupled with the social media reach of celebrities, the fundraising opportunities are limitless. Technology...The un8ty Edge Real time one-on-one video conversations with celebrities in exchange for donations to various charities, social causes and social entrepreneurs, recreates the telethon experience in the new digital era. A donations-based and reward-based crowdfunding platform with our own unique rewards, the Digital Dream Suite™. The Digital Dream Suite is the “best of breed” celebrity fundraising tool, comprised of real- time video conversations, audio recorded messages, raffles, and unequaled celebrity experiences. The creation of monetizable social media content from un8ty’s various video conversations, that can be linked to Facebook, YouTube and a myriad of locations throughout the web. A viral marketing machine that elevates the social media reach of celebrities to fans while, simultaneously, fans are motivated to extend that reach throughout their own networks. Strengthening and fostering relationships between individual donors and charities. Providing a turn-key fundraising solution for all non- profits, social causes and social entrepreneurs.
The un8ty Digital Dream Suite™ There has never been a crowdfunding reward opportunity like the un8ty Digital Dream Suite™, which rewards donors with celebrity, reward focused opportunities, including: One-to-One Celebrity Video Conversation Group Celebrity Video Conversation Customizable Celebrity Audio Messaging Unique Celebrity Endorsed Rewards un8ty is device-agnostic (its platform is supported on anyone’s desktop, laptop, iPhone, iPad, Android, IP- enhanced TV screen), but it’s also location-agnostic on both the sides of the conversation (donor and celebrity). Both sides of the video chat can take place from anywhere in the world, as long as they have high-speed internet connection and a connected device. Marketplace Dynamics Our primary market are individuals who contribute to charitable causes. In the United States alone, the total charitable contributions in 2011 reached close to $300 billion. Of this total, over two-thirds, or $217 billion, were individual contributions. This market segment has grown from $17 billion in 1971 to its current total, and this growth is expected to continue in coming years. Our goal is to generate $328 million in total contributions for charitable causes by 2016; a mere 0.11% of the market. un8ty is also competing in the reward and donation based crowdfunding sectors. The combined size of these two sectors was $737.2 million in 2011, and these sectors have grown by a combined compound annual growth rate of 49.35% between 2009 and 2011. The crowdfunding market grew at an even faster pace in 2012, with several platforms generating in excess of $100 million each in contributions. Our Competitors The un8ty Digital Dream Suite™ is unrivaled when utilizing our ties to the use of celebrities in the crowdfunding space. un8ty competes with several crowdfunding companies that raise money for charitable causes, including Indiegogo.com, Fundly.com and Razoo.com. Indiegogo.com is an open reward based crowd funding platform, originally set up to raise funds for independent film and music projects. They have been involved in raising money for charitable causes as well, but this is not their core business. Fundly.com and Razoo.com are involved in donation based crowdfunding platforms focused on charitable causes, but they do not provide for the offering of donor rewards or increase their marketing reach and viability through the use of celebrities. The Digital Dream Suite™ These experiences are automatically recorded and branded with the charity logo, creating celebrity endorsed socially conscious branded content. This content can then be pulled and disseminated to all other social media channels, which has the potential to reach a broad audience, from around the world, for years to come.
Our Competitors - Continued eBay, Auction Cause and Charity Buzz are all examples of companies using the auction of celebrity experiences and merchandise for charitable causes. These companies have generated hundreds of millions of dollars but are limited in market reach as they are auction dominated sites. Studies have shown that only 7% of the US market uses web based auction sites preferring to shop and buy on fixed price sites. un8ty has successfully taken the best of all the above competitors platforms and technology to offer a superior buying experience by combining flat rate rewards, celebrity social media reach and the effectiveness of crowdfunding. Proof of Concept: Risk/Opportunity Our greatest risk involves the attempted replication of our unique business model by one of our competitors. However, un8ty will be the first to market with the Digital Dream Suite™ and, because of the 30 plus years of management in dealing with celebrities in the charitable space, we will have the obvious marketing advantage. The art of celebrity wrangling is not something that can be learned overnight, so our expertise will be a major factor in drawing celebrities as we are creating a customized platform that is easy for them to use and accommodates their very busy schedules. The Digital Dream Suite™, offering a unique blend of rewards and celebrity interaction, will definitely attract attention.
