Some basic questions on CV
What is a CV? Why do we need to write a CV? How do we write a CV? What is the difference between a CV, resume and bio-data? Do we write the CV in the cover letter itself or separately? Is CV the same for all jobs?

Some basic questions on formal letters (job applications)
Do we end the application with ‘Yours faithfully’ or ‘Yours sincerely’ when we have addressed the employer as ‘Dear Sir/ Sir’ in the beginning? Do you write ‘Thank you’ or ‘Thanking you’ towards the end? Do you write the subject after ‘Dear Sir’ or before it? Do you write your name at the top of the application? Do you write your address and date to the right side of the page or the left one? Can you use contractions like ‘I’ve,’ ‘I’d,’ ‘I’m’ etc in a formal letter?

Some basic tips about job applications
Paragraph 1: explain which job you are applying for and how/ where you heard about it. Paragraph 2 : briefly describe your most relevant qualifications and/ or experience Paragraph 3 : explain why you want the job and why you think you would be good at it Paragraph 4 : say how you can be contacted and/ or when you are available for interview
