5DEFINITION OF A HEALTHY CHURCH You have to wrestle with sciptures? What would Jesus say about my church.
6Can a church be considered healthy if the majority of the members are not growing in spiritual maturity and becoming more like Christ? Eph 4:12-13 so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all…become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
7Can a church be considered healthy if most of their members are not trusting in God’s grace and forgiveness? Eph 2:8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith
8Can a church be considered healthy if the majority of members are not growing in their love for God, their knowledge of God’s Word & faithful prayer? 2 Tim 2:15, 1 Thess 5:17
9Can a church be considered healthy if the majority of the members are not growing in their love for one another? Thess 4:10 And in fact, you do love all the brothers throughout Macedonia. Yet we urge you, brothers, to do so more and more.

20Can a church be considered healthy if most of the families are not helping most of their children become Christians and be faithful to their commitment to Christ? Eph 6:4 Fathers, do not exasperate your children, but bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord
21Or if the majority of kingdom kids are not wanting to have a marriage like they see in mom & dad? Eph 5
22Can a church be considered healthy if a minority of members are doing the majority of the work? Eph 4:16 From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.
23Can a church be considered healthy if most of their members have no desire to become servant-leaders in some capacity? Rom 12:1-8
24Can a church be considered healthy if most of the members are not reaching out to the lost and involved in any studies with non-Christians for an entire year? Matt 28:19,20; Matt 22:37-40
25Can a church be considered healthy if there is consistent mistrust of the full-time staff by the many of the members? Thess 5: Now we ask you, brothers, to respect those who work hard among you, who are over you in the Lord and who admonish you. 13 Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work. Live in peace with each other.
26Can a church be considered healthy if there is a noticeably inconsistent attendance at the meetings of the Body? Heb 10:25 Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another-and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
27Can a church be considered healthy if most of their members are inconsistent and unsacrificial in their financial contributions? 1 Cor 16:2 On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with his income,
28Can a church be considered healthy if most of their members are not full of gratitude and excitement about what God is doing in the church? Eph 4: Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God,
29Can a church be considered healthy if most of their members are not humble and responsive to the correcting, rebuking, and encouraging preaching of the Word? 2 Tim 4:2-4 Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage-with great patience and careful instruction. 3 For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.
30Can a church be considered healthy if most of the members seem to treat the worship services more like concerts with mediocre congregational singing? Eph 5:19-20 Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord,
31Can a church be considered healthy if the church is not baptizing an increasing # of people? Acts 2:47 Act 5:14 Nevertheless, more and more men and women believed in the Lord and were added to their number.

33Can a church be considered healthy if there is a growing fringe of people who are not involved in the body life of the church (only Sun morning)? Heb 3:12-13 See to it, brothers, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin's deceitfulness
34Can a church be considered healthy if the leaders don’t dare boldly call the members to greater faith and outreach? 1 Thess 1

36Can a church be considered healthy if new leaders are not consistently being trained and raised up? 2 Tim 2:1-2And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others.
37Do you have a healthy church Do you have a healthy church? Where the majority of your members are really believing and practicing these expectations of God and Christ? What will it take?
38The very same thing it takes to have a healthy family: RADICAL LEADERSHIP
