2 The Call to All Believers
God Calls. We respond. The Father calls a chosen people. Jesus calls his apostles and disciples. The Risen Lord calls everyone to labor in the vineyard. Empower by the Holy Spirit through gifts.

3 That all Christians in whatever state or walk of life are called to the fullness of Christian life and to the perfection of charity. Lumen Gentium

4 II Vatican Council The call to holiness is an undeniable requirement arising from the very mystery of the Church. The forms and tasks of life are many but there is one holiness, which is cultivated by all who are led by the God’s Spirit.

5 Lay men and women hear and answer the universal call to holiness primarily and uniquely in the secular realm…they are call by God to contribute to the sanctification of the world from within like leaven, by fulfilling their own particular duties.

6 All of the baptized are called to work toward the transformation of the world. Most do it by working in the world, some in building the ecclesial community, which has among its purposes the transformation of the world.

The laity can also feel called, or in fact be called, to cooperate with their pastors in the servi8ce of the ecclesial community, for the sake of its growth and life. This can be done through the exercise of different kinds of ministries according to the grace and charism which the Lord ahs been pleased to bestow on them.

How have you responded to this calling? How are you living your Baptism in your own reality?

11 Through the sacraments to be in communion with God our Father.
Become a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation God’s own people. (1pt 2,9). One people in charity. The Church exists to give Glory to God and to continue God’s work of salvation.

12 To Build the Kingdom The Kingdom is God the Father’s.
Christ brought it upon the earth. He made us co-workers of this kingdom. The Spirit empower us to be Christ like. “builders of the Kingdom.”

15 Mission Statement Looking at Jesus’ values:
What are my Christian values? Looking at my Ministry: What are my ministry values? Write down a 4-5 sentence mission statement for your own and one for your ministry.
