2 The SS Georgette was shipwrecked off the coast of Western Australia in The SS Georgette was a screw steamer. Also a schooner with 2 masts and a 12 pounder cannon. The SS Georgette was 46.2m long, 6.9m wide, 3.4m deep. She was Built in Dumbarton in England 1872 and sold to Fremantle buyers for 14,000 pounds. She could carry 460 tons. 10 The Rescue Two people were involved in the SS Georgette rescue, Sam Isaacs and Grace Bussell. Two people were involved in the SS Georgette rescue, Sam Isaacs and Grace Bussell. He was walking along the coastline and saw the SS Georgette was in trouble and ran 20km to the Wallcliffe homestead to find Grace Bussell the 16 year old daughter of Alfred and Ellen Bussell.
