Quin Dynasty Unified all of China by 241 –Adopted Confucism as official religion (stressed loyalty to government) Shi Huangdi (Name means “1 st emperor) –Became emperor of the Quin at 13 –Wasn’t the first, but most important
Shi Unifies China Halts internal battles Crushes invaders, doubling China’s territory Built 4,000 miles of roads Commanded all nobles to live with him and pledge loyalty. – uprooting 120,000 families Murdered all critics Autocracy- govt. where ruler has unlimited power.
