Veterans Day is observed on November 11th of each year.

Many people confuse Memorial Day and Veterans Day

4 Memorial Day Memorial Day is a day for remembering and honoring those who died serving their country. Memorial day is on May 30th; however, it is observed on the last Monday in May.

5 What is Veterans Day? A day which honors the men and women who have served in the armed forces, or military (alive or dead) November 11

12 Veterans Day On Veterans Day we thank and honor those who served in the military. Veterans Day is observed on November 11th of each year. This day used to be called Armistice Day.

World War I On November 11, 1918, an agreement ended the fighting of World War I 9 million soldiers died “The war to end all wars.”

14 Armistice Day The agreement was called an "armistice."
The world hoped that World War I was the war that would end all wars, so November 11 soon became known as "Armistice Day.“ 11th hour, 11th day, of the 11th month (November 11, 11:00 a.m.)
