3 Q&AQ&A 1. What country has the largest column? What are the reasons that you think that this country has the highest amount? Russia has the largest column. I think Russia has the largest column because it is a big country so it has space for more people and so more physicians. 2. What country has the smallest/lowest? What reasons would cause this country to have a low amount? Mozambique has the smallest column. I think Mozambique has the smallest column because it a very poor country, and it is small. Being poor, it would not be able to afford a lot of Physicians. 3. Look at the 5 th and 6 th ranked countries. Are they developed, developing, or one of each? Why do you think that they are where they are in the rankings? Use data to help you answer the question. The 5 th and 6 th countries are developing and developed. U.S.A is developed and Brazil isn't. I think USA is were it is at because it is a very big country with a large amount of people. The economy is not too great, which is why it is 5 th ranked. Brazil is were it is because it is big. Brazil is not a very rich country so that is why its ranking was decreased. 4. Look at the 7 th and 8 th ranked countries. Are they developing countries? If so, what do they need to do in order to get to the top half of the rankings? Use data from any information to help you answer the question. The 7 th and 8 th are developing countries, and I think that to get to the top half of the rankings they would need too Get bigger and get more money. Both countries are from Africa and are poor. They are also not too big. 5. Name another country (other than the US) that stands out to you on the chart. Describe the country and what type of impact it has on world consumption. A country that stands out to me is Belgium. It is very small country and has a small population. I think Belgium does not have a very big impact on world consumption.
