Attaining V-I-C-T-O-R-Y In Jesus A study on how to attain victory in Jesus Christ.
V-igilant...be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walketh about, seeking whom he may devour (I Pet.5:8) A. Jesus was Vigilant; He was aware of Satan's Strategy B. Jesus Admonished us to watch and pray (Mark 13:33) C. Christians must continually be on the alert for Satan's destructions, decceptions, and discouragements. Take heed lest you fall (I Cor 10:12
I-nvolved We...as workers together with him (II Cor. 6:1) A. Jesus was busy doing His Father's Work, helping the needy, helping the sick, and savng the lost. B. Following His example, Christians must become involved in Working for the Lord-helping others and winning souls to christ.
C-ourageous Be strong and of good courage... (John 1:9) A. Christ rebuked wrongdoers. He bravely faced those who accused, abused, and crucified Him. B. We must Courageously stand up for Christ and witness for Him
T-hankful In everything give thanks (I Thess. 5:18) A. Jesus never complained. He lived a life of thankfulness, and in doing so Glorified His father. B. We should be thankful for Jesus' sacrifice and the salvation He gives. Thankfulness brings Victory.
O-ptimistic...Christ in you, the hope of glory (Col. 1:27) A. Christ was never pessimistic. He came to bring hope to mankind. B. We must be optimistic, also. Our hope is in Christ, the one who never fails.
R-eliable...my words shall not pass away (Matt. 24:35) A. Jesus was dependable. He never failed anyone who came to Him. B. We should be trustworthy, too. Our words, our walk, and our work should testifythat we are relaible.
Y-eilded...Lo, I come to do thy will O God (Heb. 10:9) A.Jesus prayed, Not my will, but thine be done (Luke 22:42) B. We must be yielded to God's Will if we are to be victorious. His will is best.
