2 Integrating Quotes Text: “Bakunin strongly opposed Marx’s belief that revolutionary workers needed to set up a strong central government to redistribute wealth. He predicted that any governmental authority, even a revolutionary one would limit people’s freedom and become oppressive.” Own words: Bakunin and Marx were very similar in their economic theories but had some major differences. Integrated Quote: Bakunin and Marx had very similar economic theories but disagreed over the need “to set up a strong central government” (Bakunin Philosopher File). Bakunin believed that a strong government was dangerous because it “limit people’s freedom and become oppressive” (Bakunin Philosopher File).
