What are you doing? Trying to prove the left side equals the right side How do I do that? 1.Pick ONE SIDE to simplify (choose the more complex side) 2.Simplify that side like we did in 5.1 until you create the other side! 3.Credit comes from the steps being shown, NO WORK = NO CREDIT

Verify 1) Choose the left side since it is more complex 2) Trig Identity 3) Reciprocal Function 4) Change to sine and cosine

Verify 1) Choose the right side since it is more complex 2) Make one fraction 3) Simplify 4) Trig identity 5) Can’t leave in denominator!
