The call to adventure for my story is that a female zebra (or a mare) their group goes through a very long drought. Zebras are very tolerant of droughts but they have been waiting for water for a long time and are coming to a point that they cant wait any longer. But many problems come along the way to find a new home they are hoping to find a place along the coast.
The stallion of the pack Other Mares
Along the way one of the mares gets pregnant. They need to get her water for the baby foal before its to late and the foal dies. The pack tries to get to a place with water as fast as they can. Others are worried about the predators like lions and hyenas. A lot of the zebras begin to split up for their own needs in search of food and water.
The stallion one night on guard while the rest of the pack was sleeping, got drowsy and fell asleep. So no one was on guard and ready to protect the group. Then a strong lion sneaks up on them, but wakes a mare up, she squeals. The lion tries to grab her and eat her. But the stallion quickly wakes up attacks the lion and saves the mare, but he got injured. Soon all of the group wakes up and cares for the stallion.
The mare and the stallion
In my story the zebra pack gets in many situations. Like one is the one mare getting pregnant, another the lion attacking the mare and the stallion saving her, and lastly the call to adventure, the search for a new home with plenty of food and water.
The flight and return is when all the zebras find their way to a new home with plenty of food and water.
The boon is that the zebras receive plenty of food and water for all members of the pack, and the new born foal is healthy and safe.
After days of caring for the stallion he dies in peace and gets sent up into heaven, on of the other zebras take over and lead the group.
