There seems to be this growing tend in movie makers to put together features that are politically friendly towards the LBGTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Transgender, Queer),c Community; especially with the onset of political upheaval over Same Sex Civil Unions being legalized in many states that at one time persecuted Homosexuals; anyone remember the eighties aids scare? A lot has come along the turnpike just in the last twenty years. Society has grown technologically and with greater efficiency and communication has expanded to a world wide web of misinformation and some few valid sources of knowledge. So, why can’t cultures adjust to the idea of men marrying men or women doing the same? IT STARTS WITH A SCREAM!!!!!
Lasting only two seasons, Noah’s Arc was a break through in African American Entertainment in which it chronicled the life and romances of Noah; a young gay African American and his supportive groups of equally flamboyant friends within the gay community. After the series ended work started on a movie titled Noah’s Arc Jumping the Broom; which could be considered the first African American LGBTQ film dealing with the idea of SAME SEX MARRIAGE.
