This BIOS option is only available if pin 3 (Intrusion Switch Present) is connected to GND! Connector Specifications Chassis Intrusion 1 Intrusion Connector Break Contact Contact closed Chassis is open Contact open Chassis is closed Chassis intrusion is active even if the system is switched off (S5 state) or disconnected from mains power. The intrusion event is monitored by the Southbridge (ICH) and stored in the BIOS Eventlog during the next Boot. A timestamp (Boot date/time) will be added then. Note: This timestamp does not represent date/time of the intrusion event! If a Supervisor Password is enabled in BIOS Setup, the system will stop during BIOS POST if an intrusion event has been detected. In order to continue, the Supervisor Password must be entered to confirm the intrusion event. Note: - A Windows API to monitor the intrusion event is available - The intrusion event is transmitted via LAN ASF and can be monitored remotely by an appropriate ASF application

If any voltage is out of range a system reset will be generated and the power supply (PSON) will be switched off. Indicates which sensor influences the specific fan speed Note: Characteristics for FAN1 is always dependent on the CPU temperature – fully controlled by the system BIOS. Due to safety reasons the influence of the CPU sensor for FAN1 cannot be disabled, but Sensor1 and / or Sensor2 can be activated in addition! 1) Note: As Intel has replaced the analogue processor diode temperature measurement by the digital PECI measurement (Platform Environment Control Interface) which does no longer provide the absolute processor temperature, SystemGuard can only display the processor´s temperature range. 51 TechNotes D283x-S V1.2 Copyright 2009 FUJITSU LIMITED 50 Harddisk Password The current system BIOS doesn´t support the HDD password in AHCI- and RAID-mode Full HDD password support will be offered by BIOS > R1.02 BIOS Recovery AC mains power needs to be unplugged before and after a BIOS Recovery Boot from USB Stick or USB HDD If the BIOS Setup option Force USB Stick Boot is enabled, the system will only boot from (any) USB Stick or USB HDD. All other devices will be excluded from the Boot priority order. This feature can be used to enable automatic updates whenever an appropriate USB Stick or USB HDD is attached before system boot.
