AMONG CHILDREN WHO LIVE IN HOMES IN WHICH NO ONE SMOKES INSIDE, THOSE WHO LIVE IN MULTIUNIT HOUSING HAVE 45% HIGHER NICOTININE LEVELS COMPARED TO THOSE WHO LIVE IN DETACHED HOMES. TODAY ABOUT HALF OF THE CHILDREN BETWEEN AGES 3 AND 18 IN THE U.S. ARE EXPOSED TO CIGARETTE SMOKE REGULARLY, EITHER AT HOME OR IN PLACES SUCH AS RESTAURANTS THAT STILL ALLOW SMOKING.
