quit template designed by mr arene koh 2000 citizen’s citizen’s Dear MP, Would you please do something about the land pollution problems in our city. There are waste and litter everywhere. The factories nearby are also dumping their toxin waste in an irresponsible manner. The kind of damage that these waste will do to our land is sure to harm our future generations. Perhaps, heavier restrictions and penalties could be imposed on the industrialists. The public could also be educated about the causes and effects of land pollution. I would appreciate your attention on this matter. Y our concerned citizen, Jerome Ray the task Industrialist’s letter Factory worker’s letter Environmentalist’s letter
environmentalist’s environmentalist’s To whom this may concern: Upon conducting a land research in City Raysamyl, it has come to our attention that the rate of land pollution is even worse than Africa which has 50,000 tons of toxic wastes and pesticides accumulated over the last 40 years. Evidently, these land pollution problems are caused by changes in land use in our city. There is uncontrolled urban growth and a huge increase in the rate of mining. The improper methods of waste disposal by industries aggravate these problems. The government can encourage the recycling of waste by locating more recycling bins around. Fines must be imposed to facilitate proper land use controls. In addition, tax incentives could be given to encourage industrialists who make a conscious effort to reduce disposal of waste. industrialist’s industrialist’s quit template designed by mr arene koh 2000 To our honourable MP, I represent the industrialists from the agricultural and chemical production sector in your city. I am writing with regards to the land pollution matter that others are blaming us as the cause. It is of utmost importance for me to inform you that we are unable to better the situation. Now that the economy is on the downturn and the available land for waste disposal is diminishing, we are unable to develop a better system to dispose the waste. I would like to suggest that the government provides some form of incentives and tax rebates which will encourage our fellow partners to make a greater effort to improve the waste disposal system. factory worker’s factory worker’s quit template designed by mr arene koh 2000 Dear Mr. MP, I am one of many factory workers who feels helpless about the land pollution situation in our city. There really isn’t much that we can contribute as we are under the authority of our management. Even though we do recognise that it is a serious problem, we are not able to contribute significantly as our employers are the decision-makers and they usually dispose the waste in a manner which would incur the least cost. In addition, we face the problem of trying to locate the specific dumping/recycling bin as they are often being misused. For example, the recycling bin for paper disposal located next to our factory has been filled with metal cans and plastic bottles. If they want to reduce pollution, I think it has to start with coming up with some guidelines on waste disposal and we will try to follow accordingly.
