The Marketing ConceptThe Marketing Concept The marketing concept developed when the focus changed from selling a product or service to satisfying the needs of customers. It is based on the belief that the best results are achieved through using an integrated approach to marketing. This approach is based on four factors: 1. Customer satisfaction is important. 2. A total or integrated effort is required by the organisation. 3. Goals and objective are set. 4. Indicators such as achieving company objectives, incorporating profit/ surplus as well as increasing sales are important.
