1 Overview - Work in 2011 according to FFA National Football Curriculum Methodology - Training session based on game situation, designed considering the schedule of the club football development program and last match performance and next match expectation. Style of play - The style of play chosen for senior group is "Effective Possession" which means - Predominantly, attempts on goal arise through the use of controlled possession of the ball. The ball is moved spontaneously, building-UP from the back, using short passes and combinations, with a lot of individual- based plays, effective one on one situation, immediate pressure after losing possession and playing on the ground avoiding excessive "kick away and ineffectively high balls". The most success teams and national selections in the World has been adopting this Style of Play, such as Spain, Netherlands, Germany, Portugal, Brazil and Argentina, Barcelona, Internazionale, Real Madrid, Manchester United, Chelsea, Brisbane Roar. Formation1-4-3-3 - The training session would be designed based on 1-4-3-3 formation, because is the most suitable formation for a pro-active playing style both in possession of the ball as well as defensively also it has several shapes and variations, making it flexible and still up-to-date formation
2 - Stander training session- pre-season- based on 1-4-3-3 formation - (95 min): 1-Warming-up and Dynamic Stretching with ball - 10 min 2-Passing associated to Crossing and Shooting Training - 10 min. *Passing and shooting exercise it would be worked during with goals to be scored, the main idea is to make the players to work on the accuracy, specific technique and maintenance of their related skills foundation. Passing exercise should be preferably applied at the beginning after Warming Up because it will be associated to crossing and shooting exercise which demand bodies already warmed-up. The body learning process is more efficient by firing the correct muscles in the optimum order. Fatigue will degrade this learning process and inhibit progress. 3-Positioning game - 15 min - *At this part of the session it is being worked on the improvement of combinations, positioning, first touch, passing, providing three or more options to the player in possession of the ball such as, left, middle, right and far. No goals to score. Also it is working on the football conditioning and agility. This part of the session was introduced to boost the football conditioning which it was not worked properly on the Pre- season in function of the pitch availability limitation. It is not appearing on the FFA national curriculum session format 4-Game Training - 30 min * Here it is been working on the specific game-related practices to allow players to develop the correct positioning and decision-making, decreasing and increasing the resistances. Can be Building UP, Attacking, Defending, etc. Modified football rules, can be used more than one goal to be scored. 5-Training Games - 30min *Here it is been working in all main moments of football defending; building up; attacking / scoring & transitioning but the emphasis should be on the topic worked on the Game Training, the players are tested with all game specific resistances present. It involve two teams (even numbers), goals for both teams, most, if not all, of the 11v11 rules applied. Minimum of ‘Coaching Stops’ (preferably non). The Coach should give instructions without stopping the game. 6-Cool down- 5min Walking with the ball doing some soft movements and relaxing the muscle
3 - Stander training session- pre-season- based on 1-4-3-3 formation - (95 min): -The intensity and the length of the each part of the training session will vary according to the period of the year, during season we are reducing the small sided exercises and increasing the Tactical exercises in half pitch and full pitch - The order of the exercises should be the same all season and hydration in the training session is very important factor. - At least once every two weeks promoting match between the ages full pitch with objectives defined to each 15min, coordinated matches. - The intensity and frequency that of each component would be worked on the training session may vary according to the level of each team, it should be controlled by Heart Rate Measuring, during the exercises. - The fitness improvement would be monitored by observing the player during matches Creating atmosphere favourable to develop player’s decision making, without fears of make a mistake or loose a game, mental game development.
4 Other means Game situation means that the exercise would be built in a marked area containing two or more goals, played by two teams under modified football rules vary according to the topic of the exercise, it should be applied for the most of technical, tactical and conditioning exercises. Drills with balls means that the exercise would be built in a marked area without goals, played with balls by repenting the same movement or combination of them, it is recommended to introduce competition and interaction between the players, it should be applied for the most of positioning, passing, shooting, agility, coordination and speed exercises, and also for some individual skill development, warm-ups and cool-downs exercises. Dynamic stretching consists of controlled leg and arm swings that take you (gently) to the limits of your range of motion. Static stretching consists of stretching a muscle (or group of muscles) to its farthest point and then maintaining or holding that position, it recommended to be applied after training session Cesar Cotrim Head of Coaching – U16 to First
