HOW THEY KILL THEIR PREY Well the python lies down to wait for its prey to ambush. By snatching the prey it squeezes it s body so it can’t breath and then it swallows it whole.
HOW THEY PROTECT THEIR BABIES Up to 100 eggs or less are laid in a small crack or hole. The mother’s scaly body keeps the babies warm so they can hatch.
HOW THEY PROTECT THEIR BABIES The female python will stay snuggling with her babies for two whole months till they hatch.
WHAT KIND OF SNAKES ARE PYTHONS RELATED TO The nonvenimous python a family member of the pythonidai family that has some of the strongest snakes and constrictors.
Most kinds of pythons are found in tropical areas with lots of animals and heavy rainfalls. Some kinds are found in tropical areas like rain forests,deserts,trees,water,and mountain,grassy areas which are located in southeastern Asia, the east Indies, Africa, Australia, Central America and India.
THEIR DEFENCE The python uses its defense by using its disguise to blend in with the surrounding. The west African ball pythons change into a ball to use their defense on animals when they get scared.
OPINIONS AND IDEAS On the day the baby pythons are born it is up to four ounces and at lest twenty-five inches long. Rodents, that would ruin farmers plants and vegetables would be gobbled up by the pythons. The longest snake in the world is the reticulated pythons.
OPINIONS I think its cool how long the babies are when they are born. I thought the rodents would kill the snakes. I never knew that the reticulated python was the biggest snake in the world. I thought the anaconda was the biggest snake in the world.
