CollegeUniversity PURPOSEMost programs are applied; purpose is to prepare for specific career Most programs are not applied; purpose is to gain knowledge and expertise in certain area LENGTH OF STUDYMost programs are 2-3 years in length Most programs are 3-4 years TEACHING/LEARNINGFocus is hands on and applied; often involve field placement Focus is on lecture style and text book learning WHERE YOU END UPMay need to pursue further education to move up or qualify for certain jobs May need to additional job related training or to pursue further education

8 8/25/ Seneca Financial Aid  Entrance Scholarships (automatically considered)  OSAP (government loan program) -Self identify as having a disability to receive: automatic $2000 grant/year access to Bursary for Students with Disabilities (up to $10,000 for specific needs ex: AT)  Tuition Bursary (apply through SIRIS after accepted) For more info: Financial Aid/OSAP websites listed in handout
