BrainFx 360 is a new, comprehensive, standardized, research-based digital assessment tool that is designed to measure the functional impact of mild to moderate brain injury or disorder. ~ www.brainfx.com
Any patient who: is showing the signs of a concussion has recently been involved in an MVA with report of “hitting their head” and/or continuing headaches was knowingly unconscious for any period of time for any reason was involved in a slip and fall accident where they may have hit their head may be deemed a candidate for psychological intervention
Patients must be/have: 10 years of age or older fluent in the English language (other languages are planned to be available in the future) full ability to type/use their hands Patients can have other injuries/ailments at the time of the Ax, however, these are required to be documented in the report, so as to be considered with their results.
The goal for allied health professionals is NOT to diagnose a patient with a brain injury, but rather to provide a comprehensive look into the possibility of a mild to moderate brain injury. Allied health professionals conduct and guide the patient through the evaluation. Only psychologists and neurologists interpret the results and make diagnoses (FMDs cannot do this).
Any allied health professional who is certified and/or registered with a registering body can conduct a Brain FX assessment. Examples: College of Physiotherapists of Ontario College of Chiropractors of Ontario College of Massage Therapists of Ontario In this clinic, planned practitioners through BrainFX when completed training will be: Roxanne Sherry Jason
