General Structure Your presentation should include an introduction to: Your EngSoc What school are you from? The City Why should we go there? The Venue Where will we stay?
Important Information Be sure to include logistical information: Names and positions of the organizers Include pictures Outline of the schedule Arrival and departures times Forecasted budget Is it feasible, and what are your sources of income?
What Makes Your School so Unique? Express the uniqueness of your EngSoc/City/Venue What separates it from the rest?
General Tips Presentation should be translated EN and FR on the same slide or use dual projectors Have the translations checked Keep the presentation simple Ex. We don’t need to know that the venue has a sauna Use a classy and formal template Eye-catching, but professional
Suggestions Be prepared to answer more in depth questions What would you want to know as a delegate? Try to avoid focusing on social events Yes, they’re important, but they’re not the point of the event
The BIG Question Do/will you have support from your dean/faculty? This question will most definitely be asked Ask your dean ahead of time Make sure you have a solid answer for this question
Last, but certainly not least Summarize your presentation Quick points that you want your audience to remember Leave time for questions You can guarantee there will be some!
