1 Quality Education for a Healthier Scotland How to check who is my Appraiser for Appraisees (Primary and Secondary Care)

2 My Appraiser Appraiser assignment is organised locally within each Health Board You cannot choose your appraiser, one will be assigned to you by the local admin team You can request a change of Appraiser if the assignment is not appropriate – e.g. Neighbours; socialise outside of work; in- laws etc You should not have the same Appraiser for more than 5 appraisals In a Revalidation cycle (5 years) you should be appraised by 2 (or more) appraisers

3 Click on “ My Details ” Click on “ Appraisee ” tab You can see who your Appraiser is, and their contact details If you are a Clinical Academic, your Co- Appraiser will be listed here too “ Co-ordinators ” are those who need to be informed of your appraisal but not involved with process (line manager, clinical director etc)

4 My Appraiser assignment is wrong Contact your local Admin team for further assistance – Appraiser assignment is organised locally, we (NES) have no involvement in the process – Local Admin teams’ contact details on Medical Appraisal Scotland website
