The range for Mrs Smith’s class is 100 compared to only 80 for Mr Jones’ class. Also, the interquartile range for Mr Jones’ class is much smaller; only 13 compared with 24. On the whole, Mr Jones’ class marks were more tightly grouped around the median mark.
