2  To improve the data of the Student Records (Registry) Database (QL). ◦ Correct students being taught on courses ◦ Students who are attending have paid their fees ◦ Students are timetabled correctly for examinations ◦ Funding return for December, so the University gets the correct funding ◦ Full backing of Senior Management

3  – Problems with the procedure and use of the reporting software  – Will contact the data checker concerning specific issues  - If you are missing modules, or they have no students attached.  Other issues should be directed to your Faculty Quality Officer

4  Checks should be carried out during the Week beginning 10th November and not before. This is when student records will be up to date.  Check down to Module level.  Span should be 12 weeks, i.e. Only changes since the last data check will show. ◦ This means that if a department reported the withdrawal of a student in the last 12 weeks, and everything else is the same. The department would only need to confirm that this student has withdrawn.
