Hernan Cortes was a Spanish nobleman and lived in Cuba. He decided to sail to Mexico in search of wealth and adventure. He also was eager to take control of the Aztec tribe.
Hernan Cortes’s motive was to find riches. This happened, but with all the gold his soldiers were carrying through the water some of them drowned.
Hernan’s dates of exploration was 1519-1521. He only sailed for two years because he claimed the Aztecs land for Spain after he defeated them. Hernan had took the Emperor Prisoner a little before he claimed land. 1519 1521
Hernan’s claim to fame was that he killed the Aztec tribe. Some of them already were killed by small pox a contagious disease. He decided to attack the rest of the tribe so he did.
