Also, visit the ‘take home/sign-up table’ for the following:  Pre-conference questionnaire  Fall conferences sign-up sheets (feel free to write down your conference time on an index card, students with siblings are pre-set so please look first!)  Supplies we need are on sticky notes (thank you!)  Parent in-class volunteers  Three Bees Garden volunteers  LO Walk Field Trip volunteers (stations are dress up small group chaperones are not)

7 Passport Party “Trips”  Home Reading/Math Facts Program  20 minutes of reading/5 minutes of math facts practice.  50 signatures each buys a ‘coach’ ticket for the reading party.  100 signatures buys a first class ticket.  Passports are due  Dec. 6th for the Dec. 12 th trip  March 6 th for the March 20 th trip  April 29 th for the June 6 th trip Note: Passports are counted and returned by the party date. Keep using until full! Then hand in and get additional pages as needed.

8 Homework  Nightly homework: Monday – Thursday with occasional homework on Fridays.  Math minutes  Reading 20 minutes  Other minutes - spelling, social studies, science, vocabulary work, cursive, long term projects, unfinished class work.  Approximately 45 minutes per night.  Please see the handout provided, “Homework Tips”  Parents will be notified of lengthy projects and reports ahead of time. Please help your child prioritize his/her time.  Request for homework when your child is sick  Vacation Travel HW
