11 U.S. Domestic Waterborne Container Data U.S. Army Corps of EngineersBeginning with calendar year 2002 data yearCorps collects data from the U.S. vessel operating companies by vesselContainer sizeNumber of containersEmpty or not emptyOrigin (load facility)Destination (off-load facility)The Corps is the source for the U.S. domestic container data.Reporting began with the calendar year 2002 data. U.S. vessel operators are required to submit monthly container data on the new Corps Engineering Form 3925C.This Form captures the container size, how many, origin/destination and full or empty by vessel. Emphasize first year – only 95% complete on collection. We have since identified several companies that will be added to the container collection.
